In My World It`s Cold
Ahh, YES! One my favorite pieces I have created so far.
On this, thanks to Hieronymus Bosch`s The Garden of Earthly Delights, I have been obsess with humans with birds head. It`s something about this combination that gets me every time. At the time of the initial sketch I was watching Tim Burton`s Edward Scissorhands and all I could see was Edward played by Johnny Depp with a bird`s head. So, I paused the movie, got my sketch book and came out with this.
For the back ground, I wanted to explore different mediums; Acrylic, a sharpie, and spray paint. I did the background first, then added my version of Edward Scissorhands but felt like something was missing. Something came to mind, the emptiness Johnny portrait in the movie. This is where the emptiness symbol comes in.
I Had so much fun creating this. It took me almost a year to finish this piece.
